Padel Levels

I am starting to play. I am learning the basic strokes.

I play basic strokes.

I play slowly, engaging in short rallies.

I am starting to volley.

I play recreationally.

I know how to serve and I play matches with rallies, trying to keep the ball in play.

I play matches with long rallies and repeated net approaches.

I move to the net to serve after a lob.

I retreat to defend against opponent’s lob to return the ball.

I play the ball after it bounces off the back glass.

I master positioning, especially in relation to my partner, whom I accompany to the net or move back to the baseline.

Competition Criteria:

Matches won in P25 and P100 with a ranking at the end of the P100 chart. Average points per tournament played: from 5 to 25 points. Non-competitive players: level equivalent to level 4.

I master my game, with serve-and-volley, retreating on lobs, counter-attacking, spinning shots, lob and low returns, and positioning in sync with my partner.

I always move to the net after a lob.

I finish points with volleys and smashes.

I play with the glass walls in defense, and I return the ball in play on 360s and double glass walls.

 

Competition Criteria:

Confirmed female player: top 1500 in France (up to 900th) Confirmed male player: top 10000 in France (up to 6000th) P100: mid-table ranking, with 50% wins. P250: end of the table ranking If less than 12 tournaments played – average points/tournament: 25 to 50 points. Non-competitive players: level equivalent to level 5.

I master fast play and effects, both in service and in play.

I vary the areas and speeds of my volleys.

I defend against double glass walls.

I perfectly master the 360.

I counter-attack the opponent’s smashes.

Competition Criteria:

Advanced female player: top 900 in France (up to 450th) Advanced male player: top 6000 in France (up to 3000th) P100: tournaments won, regularly top 4, often seeded P250: mid-table ranking with 50% wins P500: end of the table ranking If less than 12 tournaments played – average points/tournament: 50 points and above. Non-competitive players: level equivalent to level 6

I master all aspects of padel play and tactics.

I use a game with strong and well-controlled effects, especially the bandeja and vibora.

I perfectly master the double glass walls, and I use the glass walls in counter-attacks

Competition Criteria:

Advanced female player +: top 450 in France (up to 225th) Advanced male player +: top 3000 in France (up to 1500th) P250: top half of the table, sometimes seeded P500: matches won, ranking in the end or middle of the table If less than 12 tournaments played = average points/tournament: 100 points and above

Expert female player: top 225 in France (up to 75th) Expert male player: top 1500 in France (up to 500th)

Expert female player: top 75 in France (up to 30th) Expert male player: top 500 in France (up to 200th)

Expert female player: top 30 in France
